If you joined us on Day 1, you already know some of the ways Black feminists have changed the United States. One way Black feminists influenced the United States is through the anti-slavery movement.
Maria W. Stewart was an abolitionist whose work is the foundation of much Black feminist thought today. Stewart was an advocate for Black women and the Black community at large. She used her gift for words to challenge ideas about slavery, citizenship, and Black womanhood.
